ABOUT

The Cochlear Americas Academic Scholarship is a long-standing education support program created to recognize and empower students with cochlear implants as they pursue higher education. Awarded by Cochlear Americas, this scholarship provides financial assistance to help offset the cost of attending an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada. Students can receive $2,000 per year for up to four consecutive years, supporting a full undergraduate degree when academic requirements are maintained.

Eligible applicants are graduating high-school seniors with a cochlear implant who plan to enroll in a two- or four-year accredited institution. Scholarships are merit-based and require a minimum 3.0 GPA to apply and retain annual funding. Applications open each year on March 31 and must be received by September 30. By investing in students with hearing loss, Cochlear Americas aims to celebrate academic achievement, encourage future leadership, and help remove financial barriers to continued education.
