Global Medical Relief Fund
ABOUT
The Global Medical Relief Fund is a non‑profit, non‑partisan organization that provides medical care and rehabilitation to children who have lost limbs or eyes, have severe burns, or have been injured in war, natural disasters, or illness. Since its founding in 1997, GMRF has helped children from countries worldwide by offering lifesaving surgeries, prosthetics, and follow‑up care through partnerships with clinics, prosthetic specialists, and hospitals.
Children supported by GMRF—often referred through embassies or humanitarian networks—receive comprehensive assistance including transportation, lodging, medical treatment, and long-term prosthetic replacements until age 21. The organization also provides access to a supportive healing environment through its Dare to Dream House, helping children and families continue care and grow over time.
