ABOUT

The Hearing Aid Project (HAP), created by Sertoma International, is a national program designed to provide hearing aids to low-income individuals who lack access to other local resources. This collaboration helps meet the increased demand for hearing assistance by connecting eligible people with audiologists willing to partner with HAP and provide devices.

To qualify, applicants must have an income at or below 200% of their local area median poverty level, verified by recent tax returns or proof of SSI/SSD benefits. Required documentation also includes a copy of a state-issued ID and a recent audiogram (within the last six months). If local resources are unavailable, HAP will assist in locating an audiologist in the applicant’s area.
