Medicaid
ABOUT
Georgia Medicaid fully covers hearing aids, fittings, programming, repairs, ear molds, and follow-up services for enrolled children under 18 through its EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment) benefit. These services are considered medically necessary and provided at no cost to enrolled families.
Under Georgia law, private and Medicaid plans must fund one hearing aid per ear—up to $3,000 per ear—every 48 months for individuals under 18. Coverage includes a replacement if the device cannot be repaired within two months of determination
