ABOUT

PeachCare for Kids® is Georgia’s State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), offering low-cost health coverage to children under 19 in families whose income is too high for Medicaid but too low to afford private insurance. The program provides comprehensive benefits including doctor visits, preventive care, dental and vision services, prescription medications, and mental health care. Eligibility is based on family income and household size, with annual renewals required. Children must be U.S. citizens or eligible legal immigrants and not currently covered by other health insurance.

For children under 19, PeachCare for Kids® covers hearing aids and related services, including batteries and repairs, as part of the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) benefit. This ensures access to necessary hearing services for eligible children.
