ABOUT

Established in 1975 by the Travelers Protective Association (TPA), the TPA Hearing Trust provides financial assistance to individuals with hearing loss who require support for hearing aids, medical treatments, specialized education, speech classes, note-takers, interpreters, and other related services. Grants typically range from $100 to $1,000, with special consideration given to applicants demonstrating significant financial need. Recipients may receive aid once per year and are required to submit receipts for expenses exceeding $50 funded by the grant. Applications are reviewed quarterly, and decisions are communicated within 30 days. The Trust has awarded over $2.4 million to approximately 6,100 recipients to date.
